The "low rattle" mentioned by Schulenberg at al. in Birds of Peru (2010), which sounds like a small woodpecker. Preceded by the call of a Fulvous-faced Scrub-Tyrant.
Detalles de la observación
First heard calling while hiding in reed grass (Phragmites communis), where also seen by Gustavo: the low rattle mentioned in Birds of Peru by Schulenberg et al. (2010). Then it flew up and perched in the top of a tree, where it was seen by the rest of the group and photographed. Somewhat later, when we returned to the same spot, it was hiding in the reeds again and the attached recording was made, in which the low rattle is preceded by the squeeky call of a Fulvous-faced Scrub-Tyrant.
