We heard what sounded like the "turee" call of a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, occurring intermittently, but could not find the source. Returning to the spot later, and playing a recording of the YBFL vocalization, the singer came close enough for us to figure out that it was a REVI turning what would normally be two rising notes in a "turee" like slur. Given that it was a vireo, seems like the REVI might be imitating a BHVI. In any event, I do not recall hearing this before. The song segment in question occurs three times in this recording.
Detalles de la observación
Many REVI, by late morning there was always one singing in ear shot.
