1 Cassin’s male returned very briefly today after no Cassin’s finches being seen since Feb 17. As with prior visits, here only briefly, approx 4 minutes. As before, silent, did not vocalize. Despite much searching and monitoring, still unable to figure out where they are coming from or going to. Today the male arrived with a large mixed flock that first came into view flying high over the tree canopy from the NNW, and made a sharp descent into the yard. Flushed with other birds and could not refind.
