Detalles de la observación
Adult actively foraging: wading patiently but also running and jumping about stampeding the fish. Not bothered by our presence. We observed it catch and eat six fish in a short period, so it’s having great success. Done feeding, it flew to the kiawe and milo trees at the E end of the pond where it roosted on a shady perch. Perky and appears to be in good health. First detected yesterday. Identified as a Snowy and not a Little E. by the extensive yellow mask and bushy crest (not just two plumes). Does not show much yellow on the feet or back of legs, but this may just be because of mud and lighting.
