Detalles de la observación
Continuing male found earlier today by Kimball Garrett. Initially seen west of 77th St E here (34.5153568, -117.9996222). As I slowly worked to get on the west side of the bird south of the aqueduct, the bird started heading east. It kept moving east until here: (34.5171107, -117.9955496), then it turned around again. Solitary. No Common Goldeneye associating with the bird when I was there (as Kimball saw earlier today). The only other ducks present were 4 buffleheads, and the Barrow's didn't appear interested in hanging out with them at all. Like the buffleheads, the Barrow's seemed keenly aware of my presence and "nervous" as I walked along the southern edge of the aqueduct. I moved slowly and deliberately as to not disturb the bird, which was still present in the aqueduct when I departed close to 4pm.
