Recordist's Note: "These are not the flight call that is given by a Rock Ptarmigan. This is the same pair of birds recorded on reel #233. Behavior accompanying vocalization: This male was accompanying a female and was not inclined to leave her. When not vocalizing bird was following and feeding.". Habitat: Tundra.
