Detalles de la observación
Seen first at 1:29 P.M. in the northern, innermost Spartina marsh in West Cove #2. The Sora came into view a series of times as it moved slowly in the marsh, never giving clear views for photographs. This diminutive rail gave two widely spaced whinny calls and a series of keep calls throughout observations, often close to the canoe. It was accompanied loosely by a Virginia Rail, which also came into good but obscured view. The Sora splashed through a rivulet at one point. Audio recording made. This audio suggests two different individuals, possibly the sighted Sora and the sighted Virginia Rail, and possibly two Soras.
