Detalles de la observación
2 birds were seen along the river. Looking back at it now (2022) one that I photographed in the tree appeared to be the hybrid with much fainter rufous cheeks. One was singing by the trail from pecan bottom that we saw bouncing in the reeds. These pictures seem to show much deeper rufous in the cheeks that match better the pictures of the "pure" bird. It also appears to have no white from the trailing side of the eye going directly to rufous which is seen in better photos of this individual. Definitely fuzzy on the photos and up to hear if people think I am wrong, but know we did see 2 individuals at the same time and had heard the bird (after listening to the tapes the whole trip there) so one of them had to be the proper bird.
