Detalles de la observación
Hanging out at the inlet for Kriley Pond. All fairly close together in a row with their feet in the water. Large brown bird with distinctive black and white banded wings when they open them up for a stretch. From my vantage they appeared to be about the size of a football. The photo is max zoom with my phone while the audio is using Voice Record 7 on my phone. The Willet call out at 7 seconds and 31 seconds but it is obscured by red winged black birds, cars, airplanes and wind unfortunately but it is still there and recognizable. My guess is they were bedding down due to a fast moving storm that was about to hit hard and deposit 7 inches of heavy wet snow by morning. They were all gone by late morning the next day when I passed by on my way to work. The snow was all melted by noon. Reach out with any questions. trwells71@gmail.com
