Detalles de la observación
I have never seen so many quail, numerous parties or family groups foraging together and many seen going to water or leaving. Numbers suggest a bumper breeding season. The bird pictured was one of a group of three males that foraged together within a family group. The black markings on neck and breast was variable among all three and not so much as in adult, this combined with the pale brown eye rather than a bright reddish eye sugest they were all immature birds. The female pictured also has a paler brown eye, again suggesting an immature bird.
