Detalles de la observación
A big group of Moustached Tamarins were around. Heard the bird and it responded to playback. Singing for 20-30 minutes, we crawled and got within perhaps 10m but did not manage to see it. It went quiet either due to our approach or due to imminent rain. In either case, it stopped singing and we got soaked. After about 30-40 minutes the rain eased off. We went back to about where it was and found the Tamarins. We hid ourselves in a good vantage point and watched below the Tamarins for 20+ minutes and I saw movement twice. Then Julien found it exactly where the movement was headed. Great looks and a laughably bad digiscoped pic. Then we followed the Tamarins for 2 hours and managed to see it twice more well and see motion or a bill among the green 3 more times. Julien managed a couple horrendously blurry photos of the tail. Absolutely mindblowingly great experience.
