Reported by Alec Human this morning. Sandpiper with buffy breast, neck and face. Dark scaly back pattern. It avoided nearly simultaneous dives from a Peregrine and a Merlin that flushed all the shorebirds but they returned a few minutes later. Eventually it wandered fairly close to the group that had gathered and provided excellent views. Photos.
