Detalles de la observación
The following photos and videos clearly show multiple signs supporting the hybrid identification and a personal Jehl score of 22. The two flying photographs show mottled uppertail coverts that I estimated at 50/50 black/white. The tail is black, however, no good photos of the undertail were obtained. The white wing stripe extends to primaries and is estimated to fall within the 6-15mm criteria on closed wing with black mottling present within the white. The underwing presented mainly white, however, there was some black feathering intermixed throughout unfortunately not captured in any of my photos. The bird presents with multiple black blobs on the belly and a grayish tone around each thigh. The black chest extended down to approximately the belly with a very irregular demarcation line. Throughout the time spent with the bird I had multiple opportunities with several BLOY to directly compare the hybrid’s bill to adjacent BLOY’s which showed no outward signs of being significantly longer. The overall shading on the mantle of the bird is identical to adjacent BLOY, whereas, AMOY in my opinion seems to have a little more of a brownish tone.
