Detalles de la observación
This adult Northern Jacana was seen very actively moving and foraging over a range of variously sized areas of reeds (or grass) which it flew over and/or at which it sometimes stopped. Its behavior was compatible with its major food item, insects. All the major ID-relevant aspects of this species are shown in one or more photos herewith, which leave no doubts as to species identification and that it is an adult. The relevant features include feather coloration and patterns on body and wings, bill color (rich yellow-gold), light-blue cere, golden-yellow forehead "shield," and extremely long legs, toes, and claws.
