Detalles de la observación
Probably the highlight of the whole trip for me was hearing what sounded absolutely identical to a Goldfinches tinklings, and then seeing two small birds flit in on wings that had no wing bars!! What on earth was this?? Greenfinches?? Young Goldfinches?? The moment they landed, I zoomed in on them as they hopped about methodically amidst the grass... Yellow-Rumped Thornbills!!! These were my first ones since last year's Western Australia trip, and watching them working so industriously yet thoughtfully, very like Chats in overall behaviour, was an unexpected delight for my day!!
