Detalles de la observación
Irruption year. Easily the largest flock I have seen. They descended on trail side vegetation on the marsh side between trails one and two like a blizzard. I was able to get an accurate count of 64 birds in a single oak tree at one time, but there were multiple smaller groups on the ground, in adjacent trees, and in the bayberry thickets so I added 30 additional, though honestly the number was probably more like 110-120 total. Worked through as best as I could for a HORE but with the low angle sun and the constant movement of the flock, couldn’t really pull out one individual. I will have to come back with my camera and see if I can relocate the flock and get some photos.
