Detalles de la observación
I heard a siskin call once, nice and loud, in the afternoon. I looked for it but never saw it so I ended up leaving it off my checklist as it was unseen and on the rare side. This evening, however, it came to the feeders twice while I was sitting out on the deck. Most years, this wouldn't be rare for our area, but this was not an irruptive year for winter finches and is a bit of a surprise. This sighting follows one I had at home here on the 13th of May. Small, slender finch with thin, pointy bill - yellow edging on wings, fine streaking overall. Photos.
