Detalles de la observación
This individual has been around for at least a week (apologies for not posting earlier). It is located in the shallow cove between Pen B and C. I have posted as TUDUxGRSC but in fact it might be better listed as Aythya hybrid species ... although it seems highly likely that it is the same individual as has been seen at this location over the past few winters (Owen Strickland et al). It's taken much web research to convince myself that there might be any Tufted Duck in this bird; the "tuft" is more of a "bump", but in the end in conversation with Gavin Platt, the amount of white in the wings and on the flanks and the unconvincing bill pattern seem to rule out any RNDU. I am including a photo of the bird showing its wingbar from the observation earlier in March.
