Detalles de la observación
Incredible find by Jeff Osborne and Janet Davis, continuing from 8 Feb 2020. Upon arrival, Eric Carpenter had it in the scope on the north bank of the river, foraging along the shoreline, where it remained until flying low over the river to the other side. It was very active, bobbing its long tail almost constantly. Once it flew closer to us, it was easier to make out the field marks. Black bib, black eye line, white face with gray nape giving a hooded appearance. Grayish upperparts with two white wing bars. White outer tail feathers on black tail. The river started rising quickly due to water being let out downstream and when there was almost no bank left for foraging, the bird picked up quickly, vocalizing and then flew high and upstream, disappearing over the tree line.
