Anhinga, with chick on its back? or its own head appears while preening? . Photo taken from a kayak on the River Chagres near Gamboa. (Please note Gamboa is in COLON province, Panama.) The Anhinga appears to have a chick on its back... I would be delighted to receive documentation or references to this behaviour by Anhingas, as a quick search on Google did not come up with any. More likely its the adult Anhinga´s own head... Elevation: 28 m. Date added to IBC: July 17, 2017.
