Male Galah hanging upside down from washing line. Galahs are one of Australia’s best known, and (mostly) loved cockatoos. They usually inhabit drier landscapes, but are increasingly found in cities as the climate dries. Males have a dark pupil; females’ eyes are chestnut. They are very playful, and often hang upside down from branches, or in this case, a domestic washing line. Elevation: 213 m. Date added to IBC: February 3, 2018.
