Urban scavengers at the São Paulo Zoo . American Black Vultures are ubiquitous in the city of São Paulo. They are attracted to areas such as the Sao Paulo Zoological garden and the Ibirapuera park, stay by the lakes and mingle with other birds (such as as swans, geese, ducks etc.). This video was taken in the morning with visitors still ariving and begins with a vulture perched on top of the statue of Saint Francis of Assisi. He is associated with patronage of animals and the natural environment. The material continues with birds on the ground near the central lake of the zoo, soaring in the sky, roosting behavior and ends with a close-up. Elevation: 786 m. Date added to IBC: March 27, 2018.
