Detalles de la observación
We spent about an hour carefully watching terns here and saw at least four birds that we thought were Arctic Terns and include photos of some here. The most obvious difference was the short legs (always shorter than nearby Antarctic Terns), the smaller size in direct comparison, with a proportionately squat body and attenuated rear and also a much shorter neck. Molt timing for bird in flight seems advanced to me, but I haven't read up on them much.
