There are approx. 50-60 birds alternating between sitting on the ground and flying near or just above the microphone. Many of the birds on the ground are sitting on eggs. The birds are reacting to the presence of both the recordist and the microphone which is on a tripod. The birds that are in flight are using the strong east to west wind to maintain a position just above both. Recording is over driven in the second cut. Equipment Notes: Decoded MS stereo.
