Sandwich Tern left, mallard right. Long distance digiscoped photo
Detalles de la observación
Rare bird brought in with Hurricane Florence. Pale gray tern with black bill with pale tip. Nonbreeding plumage. Considerably smaller than nearby Caspian Terns and Royal Terns. We watched it fly to the east toward the dam (and later re-found likely the same bird). Digiscoped photos. First found by Edward Landi- thanks Edward!
