NOTES: (Species Sound: constant; General Climate: arid; Cover Density: medium; Strata in Habitat: song perch) Same bird as the second individual on cut 94-37. song and "whizz" calls. [Six songs (the first one decapitated) of two song-types that differ in the structure of the middle notes (the introductory notes are similar in all songs); the transition between types occurs at 0:38. This introduction is also shared with some songs in LNS #106600, which were presumably given by same bird (as noted above by recordist). The series of three harsh calls at 0:13-0:15 are examples of the "Buzz" described in BNA (see also LNS #106600), and the call at 0:09 may be a "Chunk" call of this species, if not a "check" call by a blackbird. Quality changed from 1 to 1-2 - CAM - 8 September 2005]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Grassland, Freshwater, Deciduous Forest, Swamp, Creek, Riparian, Hedgerow, Bank.
