Detalles de la observación
*rare* - found by Chuck Johnson 5 days ago, a possibly young male nest building and singing frequently. Small, pale wren with short yellowish bill, plain face, white supercilium, whitish throat and buffy breast and flanks. Back a rich light brown (buffy/honey/maple) with black streaks. None of the grayish or reddish tones of Marsh Wren. Often hidden within lush wet grass in a small overgrown wet pasture. Every 10 minutes or so, the bird pops up onto low rungs of a wire fence to sing, a few harsh, somewhat metallic chuck notes followed by a trill. Occasionally comes to top of fencepost or top wire of fence, and occasionally cocks tail straight up toward the sky.
