Beobachtungsdetails
Continuing since reported 4/9/2018, although today's bird appeared more brown and less crisply pale gray and white than last evening's bird possibly due to poor light today or because it's a different bird. Smaller than a dowitcher present for direct comparison. Bill black and length between LBDO's longer bill and LEYE's shorter bill; LEYE also present. Bill slightly decurved. Obvious white supercilia, gray eyeline, white lower cheek/throat. Drab gray-brown unmarked upper parts; white underparts finely but heavily streaked on upper breast; finely streaked on breast-sides. Dull yellow, skinny legs. Sewing-machine foraged, but at an angle rather than vertical like the dowitcher. Persistently diagonal angle to body posture, tail tilted up, when foraging whereas dowitcher was more horizontal. Surprisingly challenging to find this bird among the LEYE.
