About the size of nearby Herring Gulls. Creamy gull with white head and black bill smaller than bill of herring gulls. Pale primaries. Pinkish/orange legs. First winter plumage. A first for me. I thought this would be one that got away this year after missing previous sightings earlier this month at the pier and landfill. Glad I ran out for a birding break before cooking Christmas dinner!
