Female had more black on the beak with only the tip orange and a somewhat sloped forehead - possible hybrid? However, she did the "inciting" or "jiving" behaviour (swimming behind the male with head moving side to side) typical of BAGO.

Raft of 235 at Lions gate bridge and another raft with SUSC at Second Beach. A group of males was seen courting a female, which had somewhat resemblance to Common Goldeneye (more black on the beak with only the tip orange) - possible hybrid? However, she did the "inciting" or "jiving" behaviour (swimming behind the male with head moving side to side) typical of BAGO.
