Beobachtungsdetails

Two Brandt's Cormorants were a surprise in the middle of downtown Tongass Narrows - one definitely a 1st year bird, and the other a darker 1st or 2nd year bird. Both identified by long, thick bill, thicker at the base and tapering toward the tip, and distinct buff feather patches at the edge of the gular pouch.
