Dark ear spots; delicate black bill; flew into the shore of the lake together from the north and immediately started feeding from the floating position; red legs viewed with flight; two showed all white tails in flight: the other 4 showed M pattern in flight and tails dipped in black; two apparently non-breeding adults and 4 first winter; all birds counted individually in this group of 6.
