Nikon Z8, 70-200mm, f/2.8 , 1/2000s, iso200 Chased a Mourning Dove around the yard, before catching and killing it at the roadside.

Beobachtungsdetails

Made several swooping attempts at the feeder birds before finally being successful and killing a Mourning Dove. It left the body, and the crows pecked at it for about ten minutes before they left. Carcass was mostly uneaten. The Hawk returned about an hour later after stalking the yard from a tree 100m away, and again targeted the Mourning Doves. It chased one arpund the yard, over the neighbors roof (and almost got it, sending feathers flying), back again around through my yard before catching it at the roadside and killing it. This time it carries off the Dove to a field nearby. Lost sight of it at that point.
