Beobachtungsdetails
A juvenile bird according to the field guide Birds of Europe by Lars Svensson. Was able to see the white patch on its nape quite well through my scope. Also saw the narrow white feather fringes above. Separated from similar Oriental Cuckoo by having a white vent as opposed to a buffy vent. Excellent find made the day before. Looked so much like a small hawk to the naked eye when perched on a post.
