Beobachtungsdetails
first heard flight calls, low raspy/burry/often descending notes, instantly recognized as I grew up with Skylarks in Victoria - watched single bird in flight overhead doing loops then disappearing out of sight, could see buffy wingbars, whitish outer recs on a couple closer passes, distinctive bounding flight with steep incline vertically and relatively infrequent wingbeats, broad wings. Flew by a second time 20 mins later but never saw it on ground. Terrible video attached and recs of flight calls. Wonder if this is same individual seen yesterday 18km away on Hwy 4, or a different individual? Yesterday's bird was silent when it flew multiple times, while today's bird called each time it flew... Strictly no access for birders here, I have special access in locked area. One could stand outside the airport fence and listen for flight calls in case it flies over.
