After seeing a mother and chick just northwest of this spot, here is another, also standing in the road. They need to stop doing that! I stopped for it, again lucky there wasn't a car right behind me. It looked at me, strutting to the roadside, continually cocking its tail and making a little grunt noise before flying off into the brush at the side of the road.
