Watching fish in the water in preparation to strike.
Beobachtungsdetails
Foraging in flooded grass. Seemed to be very successful - it was there when I arrived and was still there when I left. The high rainfall in the summer of 2024 resulted in high water levels in all lakes & rivers/streams/etc. in the area, including Lake Waubesa. There's a small-medium stream that runs underneath the bridge going into the boardwalk area of the park, and it flooded the grass by it maybe five to ten feet out from the streambank at the widest. This flooded area persisted for maybe a week or so at most and was full of various fish, insects/inverts, and frogs.
