thanks to Alec for catching my error -tiny wren had just survived a snowstorm and was looking for insects in an a/c unit . i had ebirded as winter wren! . bird was disheveled and missing feathers . i was trying to get near it to see if it needed help and i didn't pay enough attention to the bird or photos that are attached . i have been returning to location with mealworms but haven't been able to relocate .. apparently very late and unexpected
