Beobachtungsdetails
Possibly two different birds, as our two sightings were around 500 meters apart. First seen perched prominently in the top of a snag west of the trail, around (37.3996, -122.2365) at around 9:55 AM, as we traversed the segment of trail along the boundary between riparian forest and oak woodland. On our way back down, around (37.4015, -122.2312) at around 11:15 AM, we were watching a Western Wood-Pewee singing from a prominent perch in the bare top of a tree, north and upslope of the trail, when an Olive-sided Flycatcher flew in and took its place. We got pretty good views both times, but our views were better during this second sighting, and we also heard it give its "pip-pip-pip" calls a couple minutes later. Surprisingly, this is the first eBird record of Olive-sided Flycatcher at Jasper Ridge since May 2019.
