Wow! First time that I've seen this hybrid. I did suspect it last year when I was thought maybe that a mixed pair was breeding at the golf course. And in at least two previous years, both species had bred at this golf course. Bluish on throat but rufous extending from upper breast to the sides of the neck. Faint rufousy splotching on the otherwise blue upper back. Overall brighter blue color of an Eastern but the gray on the belly and vent much more like Western.... ED: Please let me know if you think differently, and why. Apparently this would be a first eBird record though it is available as an option in the current eBird taxonomy.
