Beobachtungsdetails
See photos. SLAS field trip. There are at least 11 birds in one photo. These are just two of the many photos I took; will add more as time is available and I’ll try to dig out my paper checklist to verify the date as well as the maximum chicken number plus add other species. Update 2/25/24: St. Louis Audubon Society multi-day field trip. The trip included visits to multiple areas including Dunn Ranch for the viewing blind opportunity. I still have my trip folder and the paper checklist I used; however, it's' an aggregate of all species seen during the whole trip, so, not a lot of help here. The group stayed the nights of April 7 and April 8 in Bethany. I made written notes at the time about the viewing blind experience at Dunn Ranch: "I counted max # 42 birds; counted 17 females but deferred to Steve Kinder's count of 15 females. Possibly a record total number and greatest number of females (or at least unusually high number). Sat morning at Dunn Ranch 29F; very cold going up to the blind."
