Not sure which camp this bird belongs to, either Saltmarsh Sparrow or possible SALS X NESP. By far, most physical characteristics point to Saltmarsh Sparrow. Supportive of SALS: Gray median crown stripe is thin toward forecrown and widens to where it meets nape. Well defined, crisp dark streaking running across breast and down toward flanks. Bill seems at the large end of the spectrum. Grayish braces or scaps are limited and do not contrast much with rest of upperparts. Intermediate field marks between NESP and SALS: throat is less pale than as seen on most SALS, more orange in this bird and a closer match to the buff-orange underparts. Malar is just slightly brighter than the buff-orange toned underparts which usually seems to contrast a lot more in SALS. Finally, the extent and brightness of the buff-orange underparts is extreme and seems to fit better for NESP.

4 Saltmarsh Sparrows plus an additional probable Saltmarsh but showing some possible clues of hybridization with NESP. Photos attached.
