Small dark seabird with white rump patch landed about 20’ from beach. Was facing directly into east wind and would occasionally hover over water and “walk on the water” Was able to view for about 20 minutes as it slowly flew south down the beach. Longer wings than a Wilson’s and feet did not extend past forked tail. Have some grainy iphone photos but they do not show forking of tail. Will post photos.
