Terrible but diagnostic photo, taken at 17:08, south of the trail that is between bridges 203 and 204 (the pine tree heronry).
Beobachtungsdetails
Hooting at 17:03 in the pine trees of the Great Blue Heron (GBHE) heronry, south of the trail, between bridges 204 and 203. The bird in the photo was one of the owls hooting. Second GH Owl answered. It is possible (likely?) that the GHOW pair intend to use a GBHE nest from last year's nesting season, since they don't build their own nest. The GBHE are not pleased.
