Wind, distance, and human voices but the 13 Whimbrel are calling at 9:51 while flying away.

Beobachtungsdetails

One flock at the Southport mudflat, not foraging, just standing into the wind when I arrived. Previously reported. The flock called out for about a minute, then flew away after 9:44. Large brown shorebirds with very long curved bills and striped heads. Several birders here at the same time.
