Temotu Whistler male. Photo by Brenden Mautoa, this is the only endemic that was at all widespread, split as Temotu Whistler in other major checklists, The females are again very distinct, i am constantly surprised how taxonomists don't rate female plumage as markers of specific status, witness long neglected Superb Bird of Paradise split and sundry wheatears, plus a number of these whistlers. Elevation: 190 m. Date added to IBC: September 28, 2018.
