Beobachtungsdetails
***Very rare in the state. My first upstate and only second in the east. Found earlier by Tim Lenz. In the same location Tim first had it, at the end of East Lake Road. We played two or three call notes and the bird responded immediately and flew up into a deciduous tree at the north end of the road near the gate. The bird stayed perched there for a minute, then flew closer to us and landed in a prominent perch in a cedar. It was calling continuously for several minutes from the tops of cedars, while constantly flapping its wings for balance and eating berries. It disappeared briefly and was re-discovered feeding low in a small cedar. The bird was remaining secretive in the same general area on the east side of the road. Hope and Benjamin heard the bird sing briefly.
