Tawny Frogmouth male on nest with young chick wriggling, Herdsman Lake. We have been following the development of four Tawny Frogmouth chicks at Herdsman Lake, near Perth. One male appears to have mated with two females, and the resulting chicks were of two different ages. The male is at the nest with two young chicks with white down. This one wriggled out from under the male, then wriggled back under him. The male then settled firmly on top of his chicks. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: October 31, 2017.
