Beobachtungsdetails
Seen feeding in a tide pool just off of Lumbago Rd. I didn't have a scope of camera with me (besides my phone), but from what I could see through my binoculars it appeared to be a 1st winter male, or perhaps a female. It had a faint white crescent at the base of its bill, but seemed to have darker markings on its body than I would expect from a female. It was "shoveling" so energetically that it hardly lifted its head out of the water, so it was difficult to get a photo that included its head. Binocular/phone photos attached.
