NOTES: A male seen well 18-20 meters away and about 1 meter over the water or nearby water up on some dead sticks at the edge of emergent vegetation at the margin of a relatively large (200-300 X 500 meters across) lake; the bird flew upward once and returned to the same perch, possibly as a display; partly cloudy, slight breeze, and probably in the mid-80s. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Grassland, Freshwater, Lake, Pasture, Scrub.
